It's a pretty hard game, and if enemies are a little bit higher level than you they rape you. You're exploring areas where there's stuff you can't get to without turning into a dragon and flying up there to get to them, there's parts where you're dogfighting wyverns while dodging goblin trebuchet fire - it just feels really refreshing to do something other than run around on your feet in an rpg, and you really feel like you're a badass hero not just some generic guy who's saving the world because he's there and has nothing better to do. The game teases you a bit and makes you wait a while before you can do it, but when you can it's pretty awesome. The story is a bit cliche but they manage to make it interesting enough to go through because everything is well designed and fun to look at.Īlso, you can turn into a motherfucking dragon. There's some decent humor in the game too. The voice acting is surprisingly good for a European RPG, it's actually fairly decent. It makes up for the dated graphics with the cool architecture and just overall design of the locations and armor and stuff imo. Graphically it looks worse than Two Worlds 2, but I like the art style a lot. The melee combat feels a bit clunky, the hits aren't particularly satisfying but it's decent. It still satisfies me in the exploringy aspect, though I much prefer openworld games like Gothic 3, Morrowind, etc. It's semi open, you get lots of quests to do in an area (and sidequests etc) and then you move on when you progress far enough in the story. Don't expect a big open world like two worlds 2 or oblivion.
